Hugh was born in Hertfordshire in 1909 and died in 1990. He studied under his father initially and contnued his studies at Watford. His style specialises in capturing fleeting influences of light, especially sky effects. He had solo exhibitions at Belgrave Gallery and had a memorial show at Abbott and Holder.
