CARR, David
Carr was born in 1915 and studied at Byam Shaw and then at Cedric Morris's East Anglian School. Carr was a friend of Colquhoun and MacBryde and was prominent in the Norfolk Contemporary Art Society. Carr was best know for post-cubist studies on the theme of man and machine. His late watercolours were described by Bryan Robertson as 'of special importance in British art of this period'. Carr died in 1968.
